You will be joining a multi disciplinary team of planning professionals, architectural designers and surveyors and will play an important part of the next generation of the business. In terms of projects, you will be involved in rural schemes, bespoke developments for land owners, imaginative projects for community usage and rural hospitality & leisure work. As a business, they have become well known for being able to offer consultative planning advice, guidance for clients on how to navigate their way through the complex planning system and a high success rate in achieving consent. Working closely with the architecture & surveying teams, this consultancy offers a full range of support to their clients.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for rural development and a strong desire to develop their career within a growing practice. You will be comfortable demonstrating a sound understanding of the planning system and have some examples of work to show this. Everyone in the team prides themselves on the ability to work closely with clients so building sustainable relationships with land owners, farmers, estate owners, householders, small developers & private clients is crucial.
Being chartered is not essential but a good working knowledge of the UK local authority system, an organised manner, strong report writing skills & being able to produce innovative & workable planning solutions to often tricky and challenging developments, is a must.
