You will be responsible for the management of projects and will promote and maintain relationships within the engineering team. You will be involved in all elements of job winning, design and relationship building with clients and stakeholders.
A key part of your role will be to prepare designs, calculations, specifications, drawings and carry out risk assessments for improvement, refurbishment and new build schemes, tender documents, and supervise works to completion including agreeing interim and final accounts. It would be useful if you had experience of dilapidations and feel comfortable preparing schedules of work for structural surveys and insurance schemes
Given the nature of the varied work, you may be required to respond to emergency requests relating to dangerous buildings and the ongoing requirements in those events. As a senior member of the engineering team you will have a responsibility to identify new business opportunities. You will need a good understanding of AutoCAD, health and safety legislation, and relevant construction risks and hazards in relation to asbestos.
