This rare opportunity would be a superb career move for a Senior Project Manager who has a proven track record of delivering exceptional homes and building sustainable relationships with clients, contractors, and all stakeholders in across multiple residential developments.
You will be working as a client-side Project Manager in conjunction with appointed contractors to oversee 3+ sites consisting of small, medium, and large housing developments. The pipeline for the next 5 years promises sites from 500 – 600 units across the Bath & South Gloucestershire areas.
A strong desire to work with a diverse build type will stand you in good stead to be successful in this role. Our client works with timber frame, traditional build, and modern methods of construction. They are keen to develop their offering into the low energy, sustainable, and Passivhaus direction, and, again, it would be a huge benefit if you have experience in that arena. As the lead Project Manager, you will be involved in the whole life cycle of a project which gives you input into design, technical and commercial elements – making this a hugely broad and diverse role.
As testament to their desire to develop innovative build methods and embrace the changing housing market, you may be working on conversions & change of use projects and be involved in the plans to establish the business into Zed Pods and any emerging new construction methodologies.
Build quality sits high on the list of priorities and this is both in the methods of build as well as the finish and customer experience. While completing projects on time is important, the client takes the view that they want the completed product to be of exceptional quality, and that takes precedent.
In terms of the house types and allocation, you will be working on open market phases and some sites which are 100% section 106 properties.
In return for your hard work, collaboration and ambition, you will be rewarded with a salary of up to £75K, the option to work from home 3 days per week with 2 on-site, 10% bonus which is made up of both team and personal targets, access to CPD opportunities as you settle into the job, 50p per mile for travel, 25 – 30 days holiday and generous sick pay. In terms of future prospects, this role is a stepping stone to Construction Director which is very much part of the long-term planning for this client.
A fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to step up and take on a hybrid Senior Project Manager role in the South West.
