With nearly £50m in turnover and a steady flow of work from Housing Associations and Councils, they prioritise delivering excellence over chasing growth. The Role:

This role, based in the Bristol office, is pivotal for someone who thrives on independence, capable of making confident decisions and taking initiative. The successful candidate will be integral to the commercial management of planned works contracts, overseeing everything from pre-start inspections to final account settlements. Supported by an Assistant QS, you will manage subcontractors, liaise with operations teams, and ensure accurate financial forecasting and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial management of assigned contracts
  • Conduct pre and post-inspections, manage variations, and subcontractor allocations
  • Ensure timely production of applications, invoices, and final accounts
  • Monthly commercial reporting and cost control within target margins
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Quantity Surveying
  • Understanding of SOR, Open Book, and Cost Plus pricing models
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Experience in procurement, contract management, and dispute resolution
  • NHF experience is desirable
