The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be integral to the commercial administration of assigned contracts. Responsibilities encompass cost modelling, invoicing, cost reconciliation, and supply chain procurement & management. Your role is crucial in ensuring the successful commercial performance of contracts which include responsive, voids, compliance, and capital works valued at approximately £5m per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective management and procurement of subcontractors.
- Accurate measurement and valuation of completed works.
- Skilled commercial negotiation and management of commercial reporting.
- Active participation in regional review meetings and compliance with company policies.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, the supply chain, and internal teams.
- Delivering comprehensive reporting and commercial analysis relevant to Open Book/Target Cost Model.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the Social Housing sector.
- In-depth knowledge of SOR, Open Book, Cost Plus pricing models.
- Proficiency in managing a contract entirely, from operational support to subcontractor management.
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
- Experience with NHF rate and in dispute resolution is preferred.
- Understanding and experience in operating an Open Book / Target Cost pricing model are highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
