This financially secure yet steadily growing company is seeking a dedicated professional to become a key part of its commercial team, focusing on the administration and management of contracts within the social housing sector.

The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be integral to the commercial administration of assigned contracts. Responsibilities encompass cost modelling, invoicing, cost reconciliation, and supply chain procurement & management. Your role is crucial in ensuring the successful commercial performance of contracts which include responsive, voids, compliance, and capital works valued at approximately £5m per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective management and procurement of subcontractors.
  • Accurate measurement and valuation of completed works.
  • Skilled commercial negotiation and management of commercial reporting.
  • Active participation in regional review meetings and compliance with company policies.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, the supply chain, and internal teams.
  • Delivering comprehensive reporting and commercial analysis relevant to Open Book/Target Cost Model.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the Social Housing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of SOR, Open Book, Cost Plus pricing models.
  • Proficiency in managing a contract entirely, from operational support to subcontractor management.
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience with NHF rate and in dispute resolution is preferred.
  • Understanding and experience in operating an Open Book / Target Cost pricing model are highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
