Their Bristol team is looking for 2 Associate level additions to their business – 1 with a mechanical engineering bias and 1 with an electrical engineering bias. You must have worked within the built environment industry. You will be joining the management structure and will be involved in leading teams of people to success.
The main objective of the role will be to support the Directors in developing the direction of the consultancy, ensuring quality outputs and striving towards achieving business and commercial objectives.
Working directly with the clients and bringing in additional workload, you will be responsible for a team of design engineers and technicians working on a variety of projects.
You will take on the lead consultant role on a number of projects and undertake all aspects of project management for individual clients. Propose labour and resource requirements to achieve successful project completion and monitor the effectiveness of the allocated resources. You will be the lead in developing project design proposals, prepare tender documents, manage contract documentation and oversee drawings and amendments.
It’s crucial that you have experience in people leadership to be successful in this job. You will perform weekly reviews of the staff, ensure the right skills are deployed at each stage of a project and drive the business to achieve financial targets.
The ideal candidate will be registered with the appropriate engineering institution and hold at least IEng level or the equivalent academic qualification. It would be beneficial is you were a member of CIBSE. The client would be keen to speak to people who have worked within a building services consultancy previously.
