Working for a growing Architecture & Planning consultancy, you will be joining a busy design team who work on a variety of really interesting and innovative projects around the South West of England.

The company pride itself on its consultative approach to design solutions for its clients who are predominately land owners, farmers, small developers and homeowners. Most projects are rural, bespoke schemes ranging from one-off houses using the most up-to-date energy efficiency ideas & innovative space and surrounding plans to fun community focussed rural projects or leisure schemes.

They are looking to add additional architecture support to the team of designers. A good working understanding of UK building regulations is essential as is a sound grasp of the expectations and requirements of local planning authorities. You need to be able to use AutoCAD and Sketchup to present your work and be open-minded to developing design ideas having listened to and understood the requirements of the client.

This would be a great opportunity for a Part I with some working experience or a Part II who is keen to take on more responsibility for projects from inception through to completion. It may also suit an experienced Technician who has worked closely with an Architect to develop designs and execute projects. You will be working in conjunction with the inhouse planners to offer a full project solution to any rural client.
