Keeping it to two pages has been the advice for CVs for a long time. It is important to note that a school leaver or graduate may well be better presenting their skills in 1 concise page. Presenting a CV of more than 2 pages may well put you at a disadvantage – you need to keep the reader interested by condensing things into a clear document.

Avoid waffle.

TIP 3: Think carefully about the layout and exactly what you want to include. Plan it. Make sure you focus plenty of time of your opening profile paragraph – using that space to best effect is very sensible. You can say a huge amount about yourself in the first 5 lines which also helps to save space later on.
